Recently I’ve been really into live idol shows and particularly love multimedia shows that have a live show, an anime, a game, etc. Revue Starlight fits this bill perfectly and has a really great story line!<\/p>\n

This costume was create with a mix of inspiration from the anime and stage production. The skirt is made from faux dupioni and has a satin stripe along the hem. It’s a circle skirt with four box pleats. The white over skirt is organza with a tiny baby hem that was pleated and attached to the skirt. The jacket was draped on my dress form and is made of a twill material lined with cotton and gold spandex. All the bias tape is made from the same gold spandex and was blind stitched to the lining. The red jacket is velvet with a dupioni lining and a plush fur trim. My Star button was made by Omg It’s Barri<\/a>.<\/p>\n

My favorite part of this costume is the cute red crown! It’s so poofy and feels very lolita esque. The wig is a Epic Cosplay Hestia in Copper Red.<\/p>\n
